Weather Music
YOSY POKARI (Yoshihiro Hokari)
The weather, a phenomenon of the natural that cannot be completely predicted, has something in common with the unpredictability of other players in a performance in which multiple people create sounds that are not written in the score. In this work, the unpredictable weather information is compiled into a musical piece through fixed-point cameras using AI-based object detection and weather information API. In addition, by building an interactive relationship between the “weather music” created by these unpredictable events and my own performance, I express and communicate the hypothesis that it may be possible to change the weather (weather music) as a result.
